This 2-day journey from Baku explores some of Azerbaijan’s most culturally rich and scenic inland regions, combining historical landmarks, mountain landscapes, and traditional village life.
The experience begins with a drive toward Shamakhi, one of the oldest cities in the Caucasus and a historic center of the Shirvanshah era. Along the route, guests visit historical and cultural landmarks before continuing through the forested mountain roads of the Ismayilli region.
A major highlight of the journey is Lahij, a historic mountain village known for its cobbled streets, traditional stone houses, and centuries-old craftsmanship. The route includes a stop at the hanging bridge near the village before continuing into Lahij itself for a relaxed walk along its main street and artisan areas.
The journey then continues toward Gabala, surrounded by forested mountains and open valleys. Guests spend the night in a hotel in the region.
On the second day, after breakfast at the hotel, the program continues to the Tufandag mountain resort area, where guests can enjoy optional local activities such as the cable car, ATV rides, roller coaster, and other adventure facilities.
After lunch in Gabala, the group returns to Baku in the evening.
This tour combines cultural sightseeing with scenic driving and light walking, making it suitable for travelers looking for a comfortable and immersive experience outside Baku.
The program is operated on a private basis and can be adjusted depending on interests, pace, and accommodation preferences.
