The Baku & Absheron Fire Heritage tour is a full-day cultural journey exploring both the historic center of Azerbaijan’s capital and the fire-related landmarks of the Absheron Peninsula.
The day begins with a pickup in Baku and a visit to Highland Park, offering panoramic views over the city, Caspian coastline, and Flame Towers. The experience continues with a guided walk through the Old City (Icherisheher), where narrow stone streets, caravanserais, mosques, and medieval architecture reflect centuries of Silk Road history.
After free time for lunch, the tour continues with a short stop at the Heydar Aliyev Center for exterior views and photography of one of Baku’s most recognizable modern landmarks.
In the afternoon, the route heads toward the Absheron Peninsula to visit Atashgah Fire Temple, historically connected to fire worshippers and ancient trade routes. The experience concludes at Yanardag, the famous “Burning Mountain,” where natural gas flames for more than 2 thousand years continuously emerge from the hillside.
The tour finishes with a return to Baku in the evening. This experience is operated on a private basis and can be adjusted depending on pace and preferences.
